Bosch Security
Bosch sold its video, access, intrusion and communications business to Triton in 2025; it now operates as Keenfinity Group, headquartered in Munich, Germany, and in 2026 the video business took the name IQSIGHT. Product names such as FLEXIDOME, DINION, BVMS and the PRAESENSA public address system continue.

Who it suits
Large buildings and plants that need a voice evacuation (PA/VA) system tied into fire alarm and CCTV in one project.
Overview
Who owns Bosch Security today
If you already have Bosch cameras or sound systems, the first thing to know is the change of owner. Bosch sold its video, access control, intrusion and communications business to the European investor Triton. The sale closed on 30 June 2025, and from 1 July 2025 the business has operated as an independent company, Keenfinity Group, based in Munich, Germany. The Electro-Voice and Dynacord audio brands moved with it.
In 2026 the video business took a new name, IQSIGHT, described as the evolution of Bosch Video Systems. Product names such as FLEXIDOME and DINION continue, and the same factories (Germany, Portugal, Mexico and China) keep producing. On quotations you may see Bosch, Keenfinity and IQSIGHT side by side.
How the products fit together
- Cameras: FLEXIDOME (domes), DINION (bullets and box cameras) and AUTODOME (PTZ). Newer cameras carry IVA Pro analytics for intrusion detection and people counting in crowded spaces.
- BVMS (Bosch Video Management System): the VMS for large systems; version 13 arrived in 2025.
- AMS (Access Management System): access control that ties into BVMS and the intrusion panels.
- PRAESENSA: an IP-based public address and voice evacuation (PA/VA) system that links to the fire alarm to evacuate a building zone by zone.
- DICENTIS: conference systems for microphones, voting and interpretation.
Who it suits
The real strength of this group is projects where cameras, doors, intrusion alarms and evacuation audio must work together: high-rise buildings, large hotels, shopping centres, factories and corporate meeting rooms. For an eight-camera shop it is more than you need.
Strengths
- PRAESENSA provides PA and voice evacuation linked to the fire alarm, with zone-by-zone announcements and built-in monitoring of speaker lines for faults.
- Cameras, access control (AMS), intrusion and the VMS (BVMS) come from one group and integrate without extra middleware.
- IVA Pro in the camera detects intrusion and counts people even in crowded areas, without a separate AI server.
- Large meeting rooms that need microphones, voting and interpretation can use DICENTIS from the same group.
Things to know before choosing
- The change of owner and names (Bosch to Keenfinity, and IQSIGHT for video) is still settling. Ask the distributor who handles warranty and support for systems bought before mid-2025.
- Prices are higher than Chinese camera brands, and designing BVMS, AMS and PRAESENSA takes engineers trained on the vendor's tools.
- BVMS and AMS have licences and software maintenance agreements (SMA) to renew. If they lapse, upgrading to a new version later can be expensive.
- Spares for PRAESENSA and specialist cameras are often not stocked in the region. For evacuation systems, keep critical spares such as an amplifier on site.
Using it in Laos
In Laos, Bosch systems appear in large office buildings, hotels, shopping centres, airports and conference halls, usually installed by the contractor who fitted out the whole building. Stock comes through Thai and regional distributors, and many items are ordered per project, taking several weeks.
What we recommend:
- Existing systems: first list the equipment, software versions and licence expiry dates, because many buildings have no handover documents.
- Evacuation audio: test zone announcements and the fire alarm link at least once a year. Record messages in Lao and English for hotels.
- Power: PRAESENSA has its own battery backup, but BVMS servers and PoE switches still need a UPS.
- Lightning: AUTODOME cameras on tall poles need surge protection and proper earthing.
Engineers who know BVMS and PRAESENSA are few in Laos; most are in Thailand.
Compared with alternatives
Axis fits when you want non-Chinese cameras with long firmware support and a 5-year warranty, plus IP speakers for general announcements (though not a full evacuation system). For cameras alone, Hanwha Vision is a non-Chinese option at a lower budget. For fire alarm and building systems, Honeywell is another group that offers the full set.

Solutions that use this brand
FAQ
Our building has Bosch cameras. Can we still get spares and updates after the sale to Keenfinity?
Yes. Keenfinity took over the products, factories and support teams, and the product names continue. Check that your models are still within their support period and bring firmware and BVMS up to date.
Can PRAESENSA replace the fire alarm system?
No. PRAESENSA is the PA and evacuation audio system that takes a signal from the fire alarm and tells people to leave zone by zone. You still need a separate fire alarm panel and detectors, and the link between the two must be tested together.
Can we add other camera brands to BVMS?
Yes, through ONVIF for video and basic events, which lets you extend an existing system at lower cost. IVA Pro analytics and some features work only with Bosch/IQSIGHT cameras. Test each model first.
