Who it suits
Organizations with meeting rooms across several sites that want every room set up the same way and checked by IT from Vientiane.
Overview
Who Logitech is
Logitech is a Swiss company most people know for mice and keyboards. Its video collaboration business makes meeting-room equipment that is widely used in organizations, both USB devices that plug into a PC and appliances that run the meeting software themselves.
The product families
- Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini and Rally Bar Huddle: all-in-one video bars with camera, microphones and speakers. Rally Bar is for medium rooms, Mini for small rooms and Huddle for small rooms of up to about six people. All run CollabOS and can host Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms or Google Meet without a PC in the room. They can also work over USB with a laptop.
- Rally Board 65: a 65-inch 4K touchscreen with camera, audio and the meeting system built in, for rooms where you don't want several separate pieces.
- MeetUp: a wide-angle camera for small rooms, connected to a PC.
- Tap and Tap IP: tabletop touch controllers for one-touch join. Tap IP needs only one LAN cable with PoE.
- Sight: a centre-of-table camera that frames whoever is talking, so remote participants see faces instead of the sides of heads. A Rally Bar can use up to two Sights in larger rooms.
- Scribe: a whiteboard camera that shares the board into the meeting.
Management with Logitech Sync
Logitech Sync is a cloud platform for checking status, pushing firmware and changing settings in every room. Basic features are included; proactive alerts, remote screen access and room usage insights need an Essential or Select plan. Select also adds expert support and faster replacements.
Who it suits
Logitech suits organizations with many meeting rooms or several sites that want every room set up the same way. A single room in a small office works too, though a simpler USB setup may be enough.
Strengths
- One Rally Bar can run Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms or Google Meet, so if the organization switches platforms later, the hardware stays.
- The Sight centre-of-table camera fixes long rooms where remote people only see the side of everyone's head.
- Logitech Sync shows every room on one screen, so IT in Vientiane can check and update provincial meeting rooms without travelling.
- Tap IP and Rally Bar Huddle run on PoE, so small rooms need only a couple of LAN cables and install quickly.
Things to know before choosing
- Appliances need a yearly meeting-platform licence such as Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms, and advanced Sync features are a paid plan.
- Logitech does not make desk phones or PBXs. If you need a phone system too, it will come from another brand.
- Warranty and fast replacement depend on the country of purchase. Units bought through Thailand may need to be claimed through the Thai distributor; ask before you buy.
Using it in Laos
Logitech meeting-room equipment comes through distributors in Thailand. USB cameras and MeetUp are usually in stock; full Rally Bar kits and the Rally Board 65 may need ordering.
What we see on sites:
- Not enough upload: provincial branches often have far less upload than download. Check with our bandwidth calculator before setting up HD video rooms.
- Window glare: a window behind the seats turns faces into silhouettes. Add blinds or point the camera another way.
- Brownouts: a Rally Bar that loses power in the middle of a firmware update may need recovery. Put room devices and the PoE switch on a UPS.
Good fits: banks, mining companies with a Vientiane office and site offices, international organizations and universities.
Compared with alternatives
Yealink's MeetingBar works in a similar way and comes with desk phones from the same brand. Poly is strongest in audio and headsets and fits organizations already standardised on HP. Cisco suits organizations built around Webex. Logitech stands out when you want the Sight companion camera and flexibility across meeting platforms.

Solutions that use this brand
FAQ
Should we choose USB mode or an appliance?
USB mode suits rooms where people use many platforms and bring their own laptop. An appliance running Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms suits rooms used daily that need one-touch join, but it needs the platform licence.
Do we have to pay for Logitech Sync?
Basic features such as status and firmware updates work without a plan. Proactive alerts, remote screen control and room usage insights need an Essential or Select plan.
Can a Rally Bar use another brand's microphones or speakers?
Rally Bar is designed mainly around Logitech's own expansion mics. Connecting another brand's audio usually goes through a DSP and has limits. Large rooms with ceiling microphones should get a dedicated audio design.
