上云迁移

先判断哪些适合上云、哪些应保留本地,再结合带宽和月度费用分阶段迁移。

现场常见问题

The office servers are old and nearly out of warranty. Some vendors say to move everything to the cloud. Do that without a plan and the monthly bill can surprise you, and the ERP slows down every time the building's internet wobbles. What you need is advice from someone not selling just one answer.

Not everything belongs in the cloud

We go system by system using the 6R framework (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Repurchase, Retain, Retire). In practice, email and documents almost always suit SaaS. An ERP hammered all day by office staff, or a CCTV VMS writing several TB a week, usually belongs on-premises or hybrid.

Lao realities

  • Connectivity: cloud-hosted critical systems need two ISPs on physically different routes, with SD-WAN or failover. If both fibres enter the building through the same trench, one excavator cuts them both
  • Latency: choose a nearby region such as Singapore, or Bangkok where the provider has one
  • Cost: model egress, storage and always-on VMs explicitly. A VM running 24/7 for three years can cost more than buying the server
  • Sector rules: some sectors, banking for example, have internal policies on where data may sit; check them first

Low-risk sequencing

Start with low-risk workloads, test, then move critical systems with a rollback plan at every step. Afterwards we set budget alerts and right-size VMs monthly so costs don't creep up.

Send us your list of systems and your current internet speeds, and we will tell you what to move first and what to leave alone.

功能

6R assessment

Decide per workload whether to move, modernize, replace or keep.

Cost modelling

Compare 3–5 year TCO for on-premises versus cloud.

Hybrid design

Connect offices to cloud through site-to-site VPN or SD-WAN.

Migration with rollback

Every wave has a tested way back if something goes wrong.

Cloud security baseline

IAM, MFA, network security groups and logging.

Post-migration cost control

Budget alerts, right-sizing and monthly reporting.

设计与实施

  1. 1

Discover systems, dependencies and internet bandwidth.

  2. 2

Classify by 6R and model TCO.

  3. 3

Design the landing zone: accounts, networking, security and backup.

  4. 4

Migrate in waves with testing and rollback plans.

  5. 5

Tune performance and cost on an ongoing basis.

适用场景

  • Companies moving an old file server to SharePoint or Google Drive.
  • Websites and customer apps that must be reachable globally.
  • Logistics firms sharing systems between Laos and Thailand.
  • Organizations using cloud as a DR site instead of a second server room.

常见问题

Is cloud cheaper than on-premises servers?

Not always. Cloud removes hardware spend, but always-on VMs can cost more over 3–5 years. SaaS such as email usually pays off; large VMs running 24/7 need careful sums.

What happens if our internet goes down?

Cloud-hosted systems become unreachable from the office. That is why we recommend two ISPs (or fibre plus 4G/5G backup) and keeping some systems on-premises.

Which cloud provider should we use?

It depends on your existing systems and skills. Microsoft shops often lean towards Azure, but we compare options first, including which region is closest to Laos.
